My Travels: Il Duomo in Milan, Italy

The breathtakingly beautiful Duomo in Milan, Italy.  The ornamental details covering this building are nothing short of mind-blowingly exquisite.  The construction of the Duomo began in 1386 and ended in 1965.  There is on-going restoration of this masterpiece.

The altar inside Il Duomo.  Look how big that organ is!  Again, the details throughout this building are magnificent!

Picture from the rooftop of the Duomo. This area was heavily bombed during World World II.  The Duomo suffered only minor damages in comparison to some of the nearby buildings.
